Exam Overview
The Red Hat Certified Specialist in API Management exam (EX240) tests your ability to create and maintain enterprise APIs using Red Hat® 3scale API Management.
An application developer, devops engineer or an architect, who becomes a Red Hat Certified Specialist in API Management has demonstrated the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed to manage, monitor, secure, document, and monetize cloud-native APIs.
Audience for this exam
- Application Developers in a DevOps role who are responsible for managing enterprise APIs using 3scale by Red Hat
- Administrators or Architects in a DevOps role who are responsible for managing enterprise APIs using 3scale by Red Hat
Prerequisites
- Have familiarity with testing REST APIs
- Have taken the Cloud-native API administration with Red Hat 3scale API Management (DO240) course or have equivalent work experience in API Management using 3scale API Management
- Complete Red Hat OpenShift Administration II: Operating a Production Kubernetes Cluster (DO280) or demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
Exam Format
Internet access is not provided during this closed exam, and you will not be permitted to bring any hard copy or electronic documentation into the exam. This prohibition includes notes, books, or any other material. However, you are provided with a local copy of the official Red Hat 3scale API Management documentation. You should familiarize yourself with this documentation when preparing for the exam.
Scoring System
Official scores for exams come exclusively from Red Hat Certification Central. Red Hat does not authorize examiners or training partners to report results to candidates directly. Scores on the exam are usually reported within 3 business days.
Exam results are reported as total scores. Red Hat does not report performance on individual items, nor will it provide additional information upon request.
